The 9th Iwate Manga Award Contest aims to use manga as a medium to promote the many appeals of our prefecture and to share Iwate’s brilliant manga culture.
All entries must be original works that have not been previously submitted. All genres are accepted, and you may submit to either of the following categories:
*General category – create your own short story that focuses on anything related to Iwate
*1-4 panel comic category – create a one or more panel comic about Iwate.
Entries for the grand prize and excellence award winners in the “general category” will be published on Comic Iwate WEB, in addition to receiving a monetary award.
The “1-4 panel comic category” will be further divided into general or junior divisions and judged separately. Entries from all ages, beginners or professional, are welcome.
If you are a foreign (non-Japanese) resident or would like to participate from abroad, please submit your entry to this category.
