The Council of Europe and the Consulate General of Japan in Strasbourg will co-organize an online seminar on intercultural integration in municipal contexts. This webinar will serve as a reference for local government officials in charge of policies relating to foreign residents, tourism promotion and migration in the Asia-Pacific region. The best practices of cities in Japan, Australia and South Korea will be presented, whereby two Japanese leading cities in migrant integration deliver presentations on how to better accommodate foreign residents in their cities, with thematic focuses on education for children with diverse backgrounds and multilingual support for newcomers.
